Following Joss’ successful spell as Captain towards the end of last season - when he helped lead the Club to achieve the Great Escape - manager Michael Flynn has now revealed that Joss will continue as Club Captain for the 2017/18 Season.
Following the appointment, Joss said: “It’s an honour to be chosen as Club Captain for the upcoming season. It was a proud moment for me when I was named Captain at the end of last season and I’m delighted to continue in the role. I’m proud to be leading this team and I’m looking forward to a successful 2017/18 Season.”
Manager Michael Flynn said: “Joss was key when I took over last season and handled things right both on and off the pitch. He's got a good relationship with the players and is a clear leader."
Mark O’Brien has also been announced as the Club’s vice-captain.
Speaking on that appointment, Michael said: "Mark O’Brien is an obvious one really. He is a winner. He trains like he plays and that's what you need at this level."
