Newport County AFC and Friars Walk have joined together to create a fantastic interactive football-themed mural for John Frost Square which gives fans of the Club an opportunity to be photographed taking shots against the County ‘keeper.
The mural – which sits between Coffee#1 and H&M – will be unveiled at 4pm in John Frost Square on Thursday 3rd August 2017 by three Newport County AFC players.
Friars Walk’s Centre Director Simon Pullen said: “We are really pleased to see the creation of a new mural for summer in partnership with Newport County AFC. The photo hot spots proved really popular with the public last year with lots of activity recorded on social media. We’d like to take this opportunity to wish Newport County all the best for the season ahead and wish all Friars Walk visitors a fun and action packed summer holiday.”
Come along on the 3rd August at 4pm and meet the players, see the mural unveiled for the first time, and get your photo taken so you can enter the Friars Walk competition to become the Club’s Mascot for a Newport County AFC home match next season. The competition will be launched at the time of mural reveal and can be found on the Friars Walk Facebook Page.
Don’t miss the County in the Community team who will be at Friars Walk later today (28th July) hosting a Soccer Skills session from 11am-1pm on The Lawn in the Usk Plaza (outside Chiquito, GBK, and Las Iguanas) tomorrow (28th July 2017).
