Michael Flynn completes backroom line-up

County stalwart Michael Flynn has accepted the offer to join John Sheridan’s backroom staff, as first-team coach...

Flynn, who combined his playing role last season with head of academy coaching, was instrumental in developing many of the younger members of the squad, including Kieran Parselle, Aaron Collins and Tom Owen-Evans, and will now work with the first-team squad on a permanent basis.

“I am delighted to be back, the Club is in my heart and I am grateful to John for giving me this opportunity.” said the the former County midfielder.

“Working alongside an experienced manager, I’m sure I can learn a great deal as a coach, whilst helping the Club pick up results and climb the table.”

Ryan Mackerness returns as part-time goalkeeping coach, to work with Joe Day and Rhys Taylor.

Byron Anthony, who has been assisting the first-team since the arrival of John Sheridan last week, will now revert to his role within the Club’s Academy, providing the critical link between the youth and senior set up.
