Ansah Back

Striker Zak Ansah re-joins the Club on loan...

Zak, who last featured for County in our Sky Bet League 2 away fixture with Dagenham and Redbridge, has returned to Rodney Parade on a two-month loan deal.

During his first spell at the Club, Zak made one start and four appearances as a substitute, before his loan deal expired.

Zak will be reunited with manager John Sheridan, whom he played under at Plymouth Argyle last season, when he joined The Pilgrims on loan at the end of the campaign and scored on his debut against Cheltenham Town.

In total he made ten appearances for Plymouth Argyle, helping them reach the League Two playoffs and scored in the semi-final against Wycombe Wanderers.

On confirming the arrival of Zak, manager John Sheridan, said “I know Zak well and he did very well last season for me at Plymouth”.

“When he played last season he was really effective and I am very pleased we have got him here. I know a lot a lot about him.”

“If he plays on a regular basis, he is someone who can be very beneficial to us. We need goals to win games, and Zak will bring that”.

The deal to bring Zak on loan will run until the 12th of December, with provisions that he will be available to play in FA Cup ties.

Zak will be available for selection for Saturday's trip to Mansfield, subject to the Club acquiring international clearance.
