Aston-Villa defender extends his stay with the Exiles…
The Club are delighted to announce that a deal has been agreed to extend the loan of promising centre-back Janoi Donacien.
After making his debut in our away victory against Carlisle United, Janoi has progressed to play all seven matches during his initial loan spell, which ended after our victory over local rivals Bristol Rovers.
On extending his stay with County, Janoi said, “After getting a few results under our belt, all of the squad are now just looking to kick-on”.
“To be fair since I come in the boys have always been lively and welcoming and now we are starting to pick up results, you can see people looking to get on the ball more and are much more positive”.
“During the next few months I just want to help the team climb that table”.
Manager, John Sheridan, added “I liked the look of Janoi when he was at Tranmere last year, when he played against me at Plymouth’.
“He is raw, but he has great attributes to his game. He is very quick and he is a young lad who is playing League football, he has flaws in his game but that is just part and parcel of him learning”.
“I am very pleased that we have managed to keep him”.
December.thThe loan deal will now extend to cover our busy Christmas schedule, up until our home fixture against Plymouth Argyle on the 28
The Club can confirm that Janoi is eligible for our FA Cup first-round tie against Brackley Town, on Sunday 8th November.
