Newport County is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Thomas as the club’s new Head of Goalkeeping.
Thomas brings a wealth of experience, having served the FAW Trust for the past 15 years as the National Goalkeeper Coach Education Coordinator. He joins Nelson Jardim's backroom staff to succeed Jim Hollman, who recently left the club by mutual consent after six years.
Prior to this role, Thomas has spent the last two seasons at Haverfordwest County in the JD Cymru Premier. He has been instrumental in the development of goalkeeper coaching, overseeing the Football Association of Wales’ goalkeeper program and delivering education courses ranging from Level 1 (FAW Introduction to Coaching Goalkeepers) to Level 4 (FAW/UEFA Goalkeepers A Licence).
Newport County would like to extend its gratitude to Jim for his contribution over the years and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
