Newport County Under-18s return to league action on Saturday afternoon as they host Sutton United at USW Sport Park (12pm).
The young Exiles enter the contest in good form and will be looking to build on last weekend’s impressive 3-2 victory over Gillingham in the EFL Youth Alliance League.
County have made an unbeaten start at home this season following wins over Bromley and Portsmouth in the League Cup, but face a U's side who will be looking to continue good form of their own and cement themselves as one of the leagues early pacesetters.
Speaking prior to his side’s test, academy manager Luke Hussey said: "We're looking forward to hosting Sutton United. They're unbeaten in the league so far this season and currently sit near the top of the table.
"We have a full squad available, and the lads have been training really well and are in great form.
"After a good performance last week, we're excited to be playing at home again this week.
"Since moving to USW, the improved pitches have enhanced our training sessions, better suiting our style of play.
"We know Saturday's game will be tough, but we're unbeaten at home this season and will approach the game positively."
