Cameron Antwi is eager to show Newport County fans exactly what he can do following his switch to Rodney Parade.
The 22-year-old joins from Championship side Cardiff City and has signed a two-year deal with the club.
And the midfielder can’t wait to get going in NP19, believing he can make an immediate impact in League Two.
“I’m absolutely buzzing to be here,” said Antwi, who also played for Fulham and Blackpool.
“It’s been a long time coming as we’ve been in talks for while, but I’m delighted to finally get everything over the line.
“When I spoke to everyone at Newport, I knew this was the right club for me. The plan going forward, the style of play, everything was an attraction.
“I feel like I’m 100 percent ready to make the first team step-up on a regular basis. I feel Newport will give me the platform to do that.
“They’ve given me the green light to come here and now it’s about showing them what I can do.
“I’m quite an all-rounded player. I can attack, defend and score goals. I also like to assist as well, and I think the fans can expect a lot from me."
He added: "I’m really looking forward to playing in front of the fans. I’ve had a few messages from some already and I just can’t wait for it.
“It’s going to be an exciting season at the club and hopefully we can all gel together and have a positive campaign.
“My ambition this season is to get as many games as I can under my belt, and be a vital part of the team.”
