The County in the Community Football & Education programme offers both boys and girls the opportunity to study towards a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Performance or various A-Level subjects based at Llanwern High School.
Alongside the education element of the programme, the students have the opportunity to train 2 times a week and represent Newport County AFC in the EFL Community & Education Football Alliance League.
Having achieved this, students are supported in their next pathway whether it be volunteering, placements, moving on to study various degree programmes across the UK, enrolling on the Foundation Degree in Community Football Coaching and Development, (delivered in partnership with the University of South Wales), playing and studying in America and apprenticeship opportunities with local and national organisations.
Our first open evening of the academic year is taking place at Llanwern High School on Thursday 9th November 23 at 5pm.
