The Man In The Middle for this evening’s clash with Crewe Alexandra at Rodney Parade (Friday, December 29, 7:45pm) will be Mr Benjamin Speedie.
Speedie mostly officiates in both Leagues One and Two, but also has involvements with clashes at both Championship and Youth League level in the Assistant/ Fourth Official position.
Notable games Speedie has been involved in, include Aldershot’s recent 1-0 win over Stockport County in the Emirates FA Cup Second Round replay, Borussia Dortmund u19s victory over Newcastle United U19s in the EUFA Youth League Cup and finally Newport’s 1-0 win over Hartlepool United last season, Mickey Demetriou scoring the last minute winner securing all three points for the Exiles.
His officiating team will consist of Mark Derrien (Assistant), Jack Clench (Assistant) and Grant Taylor (Fourth Official).
