Former Newport County midfielder Roger Gibbins will be the guest of honour for the club’s League Two clash with Grimsby Town at Rodney Parade on Saturday, December 16 (3pm).
Roger will recall his time in amber and black as the guest speaker in the Bisley Lounge as part of the club’s hospitality offering for the fixture.
The former Spurs, Oxford, Norwich, New England Tea Men (USA), Cardiff and Swansea City star made 79 appearances and scored eight goals for Newport after joining the club in August 1986. He joined Torquay in March 1988 before returning for a brief spell in January 1989 only for the club to fold later that season.
He went on to manage Merthyr Tydfil, Weston-super-Mare and Cwmbran Town, while also working full-time as a player education officer for the PFA.
