Newport County AFC goalkeeper Tom King has won Screwfix's Moment of the Month for January following his record-breaking goal against Cheltenham Town.
The Exiles shot-stopper netted a freak goal at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium last month, helping Michael Flynn's men to a 1-1 draw against the Robins.
King caught Cheltenham goalkeeper Josh Griffiths off guard with what appeared to be a routine goal kick, which evaded everyone and bounced over his opposite number's head with the help of the blustery conditions.
The effort saw King etch his name into the Guinness World Records for the longest goal in football after covering an incredible distance of 96.01m (105 yds) in Gloucestershire.
And now he has added another accolade to his collection after scooping January’s Moment of the Month award, which was decided by a vote on Twitter, with King receiving 36% of the vote.
