Newport County AFC are delighted to unveil our new Hummel home shirt for the upcoming campaign.
The new 2020/21 home shirt incorporates a modern twist to the Exiles' traditional black and amber colours, and Hummel’s iconic chevrons - which feature in amber - are also included across the shoulders.
Our main home shirt sponsors, Alzheimer's Society Cymru - who were chosen by the fans in our #SaveOurShirtContinues fundraiser - are joined by the back of shirt sponsors, Plumbstop.
The kit will take advantage of Hummel’s ZEROH20 dry-dye technology, ensuring it is more sustainable than ever to produce.
This ground-breaking technology ensures there is zero water consumption and zero wastewater during the dying process, and a 50% reduction in energy consumption. This means that the 25 litres of fresh clean water normally required to dye just one single shirt is saved for each jersey produced.
Emma Butler, community fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Society Cymru, said: "We rely on the generosity of individuals and organisations like Newport County AFC to enable our charity to continue its work.
"The support from the club is fantastic, not only in raising money but also helping us in our aim to raise awareness about dementia and we are really grateful to be the new shirt sponsors."
Hummel Commercial Director, Neil Burke, said: "As a business, our philosophy is to produce garments that embody the heartbeat of the football club and that have character and class.
"Over the term, and hopefully beyond, we will work extremely hard to ensure that the players, staff and most importantly the supporters wear our garments with pride."
The shirt will be available to purchase via our online store from 4pm today. You can also purchase it from our Kingsway club shop, which is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 11am-4pm.
