Newport County AFC will be in Southern Group F alongside Cheltenham Town, Plymouth Argyle and an invited club in the EFL Trophy.
The Group Stage draw will take place on Tuesday 18th August at 1.30pm on talkSPORT 2, which will determine the final team in the Exiles' group.
The EFL Trophy will be split into northern and southern sections with invited clubs joining Sky Bet League One and Two Clubs in one of eight groups.
