The Exiles secure the loan signing of defender Kyle Cameron on transfer deadline day.
Newport County AFC are delighted to announce the loan signing of nineteen-year-old defender Kyle Cameron, who joins the Exiles from Championship side Newcastle United.
The 6'3 defender will add to Manager Warren Feeney's defensive options, as the youngster arrives in South Wales on a loan deal until January.
The left-sided defender, who can play at centre-half or full-back, is a current Scotish under-19 international and is a former captain of the Magpies' under-18 side.
Kyle spent a period of last season at York City, where he made his debut against the Exiles at Bootham Crescent back in January. Kyle's initial one-month loan with the Minstermen was extended after the young defender impressed during four starts.
Manager Warren Feeney believes that the addition of Kyle will add healthy competition for places for the upcoming fixtures.
"I think he will be a good addition for us," said the Manager.
"He is a very strong player, who knows this league and what you can expect at this level from the time he spent with York towards the end of last season."
"He will add competition for places, which is always healthy and he is very much a physical player, which will be a great benefit to us."
Kyle's loan deal at the Club will run until the beginning of January 2017.
