COUNTY SIGN STRIKER REECE GREGO-COX ON LOAN

The Club can confirm the loan signing of striker Reece Grego-Cox, who signs for the Exiles from Queens Park Rangers.

The nineteen-year-old striker, who has international experience at under-21 level with the Republic of Ireland, arrives at Rodney Parade on a loan deal until January.

The forward has made three Premier League appearances for QPR, making his debut in their defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in March 2015.

Manager Warren Feeney spoke about his delight regarding the loan signing of the forward, who will be eligible for Saturday's home Sky Bet League Two fixture against Barnet, subject to international clearance.

"Reece is a player who will give us another option in attack," said the Manager.

"He is a very energetic player and we enquired about the possibility of signing him on loan a couple of months ago. Going forward Reece will give us another dimension up front and I'm sure he will score goals."

"Reece has the benefit of the experience of playing at a higher level, and the lad is eager to come down to Newport and play games after a number of teams were showing interest in him."

He added, "I'm pleased that we have managed to get this deal over the line."

Reece's loan deal with the Club will run until the start of January 2017.
