Player Biography

Bobby Kamwa is a dynamic attacking midfielder and forward currently playing for Newport County in EFL League Two. Born on 18 March 2000 in Douala, Cameroon, Kamwa relocated to England at the age of nine and began his footballing journey at the Leeds United Academy, where he quickly showcased his potential.

After progressing through the youth ranks at Leeds, Kamwa signed a professional contract in July 2020. He gained valuable experience on loan at Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Championship during the second half of the 2021-22 season, marking his entry into senior football.

In October 2022, he joined Burton Albion, where he made a significant impact with 42 appearances and four goals across all competitions. After leaving the Brewers at the end of the 2023-24 season, Kamwa signed for Newport County on 2 August 2024, eager to make his mark in League Two.

Kamwa made his debut for Newport on 10 August 2024, in a closely contested 3-2 defeat to Cheltenham Town. He quickly found his scoring touch, netting his first goal for the club just a week later in a 3-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers.

Known for his pace, agility, and technical skills, Kamwa brings creativity and attacking flair to Newport’s forward line. As he embarks on this new chapter with the Exiles, fans can expect to see his dynamic playing style and goal-scoring ability in action throughout the season.
