Cameron Evans joined Newport County in July 2024, bolstering the Exiles' defence with his versatility and defensive acumen. A left-back by trade, Evans brings both youth and experience, having developed through the ranks of Swansea City’s highly regarded academy system.

Born on 23rd of February 2001, Evans began his career at Swansea City, where he spent several years progressing through the club’s youth system. Known for his composure on the ball and strong tackling, Evans made his senior debut for Swansea in an EFL Cup match in September 2020. To gain further first-team experience, he was loaned to Waterford in 2021, where he made 29 appearances in the League of Ireland Premier Division, playing a key role in the club’s defensive unit.

Following his time at Waterford, Evans returned to Swansea but was eager for more consistent first-team football. His move to Newport County on a two-year deal marks an important step in his career as he looks to establish himself in the Football League.
