Kyle Jameson signed for Newport County in the summer of 2023, adding depth and experience to the Exiles' defence. A versatile centre-back, Jameson brings a wealth of experience from across the English football pyramid and is known for his physical presence, composure on the ball, and defensive awareness.

Jameson began his footballing journey with local club Southport before being scouted by Chelsea, joining their youth setup in January 2017. After a brief spell at Chelsea, Jameson moved to West Bromwich Albion six months later, where he continued his development. In 2018, he gained valuable first-team experience during a loan spell at Barrow, then in the National League, making 25 appearances.

After leaving West Brom, Jameson returned to the National League with Fylde for the 2019/20 season, making 19 appearances. His performances earned him a move to Oldham Athletic in 2020, marking his first taste of Football League action. At Oldham, Jameson made 36 appearances and scored twice, showcasing his ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch.

Jameson then joined Tranmere Rovers for the 2022/23 season, where he featured 10 times before moving to South Wales to sign a two-year deal with Newport County. His Newport County debut came on the opening day of the 2023/24 season in a match against Accrington Stanley, following an impressive pre-season campaign.
