Born on 14th January 2004, Miley is a product of Newcastle’s renowned academy, where he has developed into a promising central midfielder known for his vision, composure, and leadership on the pitch.
Miley’s journey with Newcastle United began at the age of 10, when he joined the club's youth system. After impressing at various youth levels, he made his debut for the Magpies' under-21 side at just 17 years old in the 2021/22 Papa John’s Trophy, starting in a match against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough. His leadership qualities were quickly recognised, as he captained Newcastle’s under-18 team to the quarterfinals of the FA Youth Cup in 2020/21, and again in the 2021/22 campaign, guiding them to the fifth round.
In July 2023, Miley made his senior debut for Newcastle United, featuring in a pre-season friendly against Gateshead. He went on to make his full senior debut for Eddie Howe’s side in a match against Hull City and earned his first start at St. James' Park in a 4-0 victory over La Liga outfit Girona in August 2024.
Seeking to gain valuable first-team experience, Miley joined Newport County on loan for the 2024-25 season. He made his debut for the Exiles on September 3, 2024, in an EFL Trophy match against Cheltenham Town.
Miley’s technical ability, midfield intelligence, and leadership at such a young age make him an exciting prospect for Newport County as they compete in League Two this season.
