Born on 21st April 2001 in Rotherham, Carney began his career at Manchester United, spending over a decade in the club’s youth academy. During his time with the Red Devils, he gained valuable experience with loan moves to Stocksbridge Park Steels and Portadown in Northern Ireland, where his performances earned him praise for his agility and reflexes. After leaving Manchester United, Carney joined Sunderland in 2021, where he continued his development before making the move to Newport County.
