Head Coach Nelson Jardim wants his side to build on their midweek draw against AFC Wimbledon tomorrow afternoon.
The Exiles return to League Two action in quick succession as they host Carlisle United at Rodney Parade.
County are unbeaten in their last three league games and Jardim wants his side to build on their fight back against the Dons in midweek.
“I was a pleased manager after the game on Tuesday. As I mentioned after the game it was a good point for us in a game where we showed lots of character,” said Jardim.
“Obviously going down 2-0 wasn’t good and we didn’t plan for that to happen, but I was we really pleased with the way we approached the game.
“We continued to play our style even though we were 2-0 down and we kept going right until the very end. We kept playing, kept trying to control the game and we got our reward with the late goal at the end.
“We knew going into the game that if we could control large parts then we would score goals. We did that before half time and then in the second half half I thought we had enough chances draw and even win the game.
“All that effort we put in and the performance paid off in the end."
He added: "Going into tomorrow we have to keep building on what we’ve been doing.
“It’s a long time since we had a win at home and I want to get that winning spirit back tomorrow.
"We were in a tough spell in our last home games with injuries and suspensions, but we also missed two penalties too which would have put us four points better off should they have gone in.
“We’ve had two away games since then which have been really good. We have to carry on what we have been doing in terms of belief and performance, and we hope we can win tomorrow.
“We know tomorrow will be difficult because Carlisle are a side in form. The last five games they have drew three and won two games so we know it will be tough the same as every game is.”
