Head coach Nelson Jardim has urged Newport County to take the opportunity to try and build momentum when they host Accrington Stanley on Saturday afternoon.
The Exiles welcome the Reds to Rodney Parade on the back of their opening home victory against Doncaster Rovers last weekend.
And the Portuguese felt there was plenty to take from the win on Saturday, but says it is important that County continue to build on it on home soil.
“It’s always easier after a win to keep up the intensity, the motivation and I’ve said from the beginning the boys have been brilliant because they know what we’re trying to do," said Jardim.
“Winning last Saturday was a huge lift for everyone and it was good for the team and the supporters.
“After going 1-0 down in the first half, we started very well in the second half and then they pushed us for the win.
“Those three points have put us on the right track and it’s given us that comfort that I spoke about to help us build our style and keep improving.
“We have to make sure we are at our best at every game otherwise you will suffer so we must take every game as it comes and then we make sure we are ready.”
He continued: "I expect Accrington Stanley to be a tough team to beat, they probably didn’t start as well as they’d have hoped in the first game, but they showed their quality in the last game against Harrogate Town.
“We are expecting to have Brynn Morris and Oliver Greaves back and they’re probably ready now to be part of the squad.
“Morris has been working really hard and he looks sharp now.
“I know how important he is to the club but the most important thing for me is how important he can be for the future and in regard to that I think he will be.
“He is an experienced and quality player who is someone who can understand the way I want to play.”
