Adam Herczeg will be the man in the middle when Newport County travel to Notts County on Saturday afternoon (12.30pm).

An experienced official, Herczeg regularly oversees matches in both League One and League Two, and will be officiating his first Newport County game of this season.

The last time Herczeg took charge of a Newport match was last season, when the Exiles suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mansfield Town at Rodney Parade. Earlier in the same campaign, he also refereed County’s away trip to Crewe Alexandra.

So far this season, Herczeg has officiated ten matches across various competitions, including League One, League Two, the FA Cup, and the EFL Cup. His most recent assignment was overseeing Cheltenham Town’s 3-1 FA Cup victory over Rotherham United on November 2.

Assisting Herczeg on Saturday will be Steven Rushton and Joe Simpson as assistant referees, while Richie Watkins will serve as the fourth official.
