Jac Norris and Nelson Sanca both featured in Briton Ferry Llansawel’s impressive 6-1 victory over Aberystwyth Town on Saturday afternoon.
The duo played key roles in the dominant win, as goals from Luke Bowen, Tom Walters (2), Alex Gammond, and Jasper Payne helped secure all three points against their relegation-threatened rivals.
Sanca played the full 90 minutes at left-back, while Norris was introduced as a substitute in the 65th minute. This result sees Andy Dyer’s side climb to 9th in the standings, pushing Newtown into the relegation zone, while Aberystwyth are now six points adrift of safety.
Historically, no team that finishes bottom at the end of Phase One in the Cymru Premier has ever survived the drop, leaving Aberystwyth facing a difficult task in the second phase.
Meanwhile, in the National League South, 20-year-old defender Josh Seberry made his first start for Weston-super-Mare after joining the Seagulls just days earlier.
The centre-back played a full 90 minutes in their 0-0 draw against St Albans at Optima Stadium. Despite the stalemate, Weston-super-Mare remain in 8th place, just two points behind Worthing in 7th, as they continue their push for the play-off spots.
Seberry’s solid debut performance was a promising sign for the Seagulls as they look to keep pace with the teams above them.

Back in the Cymru Premier, Nathan Wood has been enjoying a stellar season with Penybont, registering 15 appearances and scoring four goals in Phase 1.
The winger has been a key figure in Penybont’s impressive campaign, playing an instrumental role in their push for the top spot. Unfortunately, Wood has now suffered a season-ending injury, which is a blow to both his and the team's ambitions.
Before his injury, Wood’s performances had helped propel Penybont into a strong challenge for the title, with the team staying hot on the heels of reigning champions The New Saints.
The two sides are locked in a tight battle at the top, with just one point separating them and TNS holding a superior goal difference.
