exiles on the road

Newport County make the long trip to Fleetwood Town on Saturday afternoon in League Two (3pm).

Ahead of the Exiles' trip to Highbury Stadium, take a read of our away matchday guide brought to you by Turmeric Co.

Where is Highbury Stadium?

Highbury Stadium,

Park Ave,

Fleetwood,

FY7 6TX

How do I get to Highbury Stadium?

Come off the M6 at junction 32 and head onto the M55 towards Blackpool. Take junction 3 towards A585, Fleetwood. You’ll come to a roundabout with Blackpool and Fylde College on your left. Head straight towards Fleetwood, at the next roundabout take the first exit.

A mile down this road you’ll pass Fleetwood Fire Station on your left, then branch left before taking a left turn onto Radcliffe Road. Take the next right onto Stanley Road and the stadium as at the bottom of the road on the left.

Public transport information:

There is no railway station in Fleetwood itself. The closest is at Poulton-le-Fylde, which is just under seven miles away. However, it is more likely that fans will head to Blackpool North Station which, although is a little further away from Fleetwood, has better public transport links, mainly the tram service.

When do turnstiles open?

Turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick off.

Is there car parking at the ground?

There is no parking for away supporters at the stadium itself but there is plenty of street parking available in the area.

Where will away fans be based?

Away fans are mainly housed in the Percy Ronson terrace at one end of the ground. There is also seating in the Parkside Stand on one side of the ground.

Pubs for away fans:

There is Jim’s Sports Bar at the ground, which admits home and away fans. Other options are Queens (FY7 6TF), The Kings Arms (FY7 6LB), and Three Lights (FY7 6NB).

Food and drink in the ground:

Both stands have kiosks selling a large range of hot & cold food and drinks. Please note, alcohol is NOT available for fans on the terrace. Fans in the seated stand do have access to alcohol. Highbury Stadium is a cashless venue
