How do I get to Barrow?

Barrow is one of the longest trips of the season, so planning your journey correctly is essential. The following are the best ways to get to Holker Street this weekend:

Car

Barrow AFC is a whopping 261 miles away from Rodney Parade. This is going to take a long time, with the M6 presenting the quickest route there. This will take around 4 and half- five hours, depending on traffic.

Train

It wil be an incredibly early start for any fans who want to get to Barrow on Saturday using the train. The only option that will give you time to make kick-off is to take the 6:33am train to Manchester Piccadilly. This arrives at 10:15. You can then take the 10:50 to Barrow, arriving at 13:02.

Can I park near the stadium?

There is no match day parking available at Hoker Street. However, the football club, which is adjacent to the club’s main reception, has match-day parking available at a small cost. The club also has a deal with Liberata, a company nearby. You can find more information on Barrow’s official website.

How far is the train station to Barrow?

Barrow-in-Furness station is within walking distance of the stadium. You can either walk 15-20 minutes to the ground, which is basically a straight walk down Holker Street, or you can take the number 3 bus from the station heading to Ormsgill and just off at the Barrow AFC stop. This will take four minutes.

Where to eat and drink locally

Barrow AFC offers supporters excellent food and drink facilities inside the stadium. The Cross Bar, a community-style pub at the stadium, typically welcomes away supporters.

If you are arriving by train, or if you want to take a wander into Barrow, there is a Wetherspoons called The Furness Railway located just a few minutes walk from the stadium. You will also find a Tesco Extra close to there if you want to grab a quick snack on the go.
