Newport County’s hospitality offering for Saturday’s League Two finale against Salford City at Rodney Parade has now sold out.
The club is pleased to confirm that former Exiles striker Julian Alsop will be the guest speaker for the Bisley event that will also encompass the Player Awards ceremony after the game.
Alsop played for the club in the Conference South under boss Peter Beadle from 2006-08 after leaving Forest Green Rovers, twice narrowly missing out on the play-offs and appearing in two FAW Premier Cup finals, which they won in 2008.
Having started his footballing career at Nuneaton Borough, Alsop played for a host of clubs in a lengthy career that ended at Monmouth Town at the tender age of 40. Some of those clubs included Bristol Rovers, Swansea City, Cheltenham, Oxford, Northampton and Forest Green.
While the Player Awards ceremony has also sold out, supporters can still get involved by voting for three of the awards – Young Player of the Season, Goal of the Season and Player of the Season (in conjunction with the Supporters Trust).
