Show Racism The Red Card 2023

At tomorrow evening's fixture against Walsall, Newport County will be supporting Show Racism the Red Card’s Month of Action.

During the pre-match warmup, the Newport County players will be wearing red shirts showing an anti-racism message to demonstrate the club’s stance against racism in sport but also within society.

Show Racism the Red Card is an anti-racism educational charity that combats racism by using the power of role models, primarily footballers but not exclusively, to present an anti-racist message.

They achieve this by producing and delivering educational resources, developing activities to encourage people, particularly young people, to challenge racism.

This October, football clubs across Wales will express their support for Show Racism the Red Card by organising matchday actions to demonstrate their stance on eradicating racism from the beautiful game. These actions act as a vehicle to deliver an anti-racism message to the community through the power of sport.

We hope you enjoy tomorrow evening's game and support the players' action by joining us in saying NO to racism. If you witness or hear racism at any level of football, please report it to the nearest steward or club official.
