After a somewhat 'dominant' display from the Exiles, Newport fall to defeat against Salford City at the Peninsula Stadium.
Graham Coughlan felt aggrieved by the disallowed goal, he felt that the finish was legitmate and there was no reason that it could be ruled out: "We scored a second goal, a legitimate goal." He stated.
"I don't see what the issue is with it. I cannot see where they (the Officials) are coming from to be honest."
Despite the decision though, Coughlan was pleased with his side's performance during the clash: "I thought we were excellent today, but yet again I'm talking to the media about two very basic errors. If we don't make those errors, we win the game." Coughlan confirmed.
"I do think our performance as a whole though, from minute one, to the three added was excellent, despite that we do have to look at our errors and the two goals that we conceeded. That's what's cost us today."
Coughlan as always complimented the travelling Exiles for their backing throughout the battle: "The fans have been brilliant." He shared.
"We need to give back now, we need to give those fans something, because the errors that we're making are hurting us, it's hurting them.
"We need to give them (the supporters) something to shout about because they've been different class again today and they fully deserve it."
