Newport manager Graham Coughlan gives his reaction from their performance against League one outfit Cheltenham Town.
Graham Coughlan was pleased with his side's performance against Cheltenham Town and equally as happy to take three points from the clash: "I asked the lads for a performance, we had some making up to do as our first-half performance last Saturday was out of character, and I think we did that.
"I asked the players to put the occasion and the league one opposition to one side and focus on getting us back to where we have been, and where we need to be.
"That was a really good solid performance from our boys tonight," stated Coughlan.
Nathan Wood made the difference in the 26th minute of the match when he flicked in Delaney's header at the back post, his first goal for the club: "I'm delighted for Woody, on his first senior start for the club, to go on and score.
"You saw the hunger, the desire, the aggression, the appetite and intensity, that's what we are about."
Next up for the Exiles is Swindon Town, who have got off to a fine start in League Two this season, Coughlan though believes his side can take the momentum and confidence from the recent result into this weekend's tie: "We've kept a clean sheet, we've got the win and I hope that we can now take this into the big weekend that we have ahead of us."
