Newport County will recognise the contribution and sacrifices made by so many during the First and Second World Wars, plus other conflicts around the globe, ahead of Saturday’s fixture against MK Dons (3pm).
As part of Remembrance Day, both clubs will pay their respects to those who have selflessly given so much to our country over many years.
Corporal Derek Williams from the Third Battalion of the Royal Welsh will play the Last Post, while he will be joined on the pitch by representatives of the Royal British Legion and Newport Veterans ahead of a minute’s silence.
Captains from both teams will also lay wreaths as a mark of respect, while the Newport players will wear special armbands sporting the poppy emblem.
