The man in the middle for this afternoon's league two clash with Stockport County will be Darren Drysdale.
Drysdale is an established league two official and has been a recognised referee since early 2000. Throughout his 23-year career as an official he has worked in a range of leagues and competitions from the Europa league championships through to the championship.
Notable games Drysdale has been involved in include Newport's 4-2 victory over Tranmere Rovers last season, Notts County’s recent 4-2 win over Bradford City and recent first round FA cup clash between Crewe Alexandra and Derby County that ended in 2-2 draw which would see Crewe progress to the second round after winning the replay at Pride park.
In his most recent three games Drysdale has dealt 14 yellow cards, five of which handed out in a six-goal thriller between Fleetwood Town and Blackpool.
Drysdale’s officiating team will consist of Grant Taylor (Assistant), Chris Wade (Assistant) and Justin Amey (Fourth Official).
