The Man In The Middle for this evening’s clash with Morecambe is Ross Joyce.
Joyce predominantly officiates in both League One and Two however regularly features in the assistant role at championship level.
Notable games that Joyce has been involved in include Crewe Alexandra’s recent 2-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers which saw five cards distributed, two of which being red. Further back into the archives, Joyce was the fourth official when Blackpool beat QPR at home, 6-1 in a seven goal thriller!
The last time Joyce was involved in a Newport County game was back in 2020 when a late equaliser from Josh Sheehan ensured we rescued a point from a 1-1 draw with Salford City at the Peninsula Stadium.
