NEWPORT COUNTY AFC JOINS RECORD-BREAKING NUMBER OF EFL CLUBS TO ACHIEVE FAMILY EXCELLENCE STATUS

Once again, Newport County AFC have been awarded the EFL Family Excellence Award - with an amazing score of 8/10!

The award scheme involves a 'mystery customer family' attending two home fixtures and scoring the club on a range of 'touch-points' which include ticketing, match-day staff, facilities, media, feeling valued and general feedback.

The report quotes:
"For some time now the home of the Exiles has been one of the most welcoming in the EFL for new families and this season the picture is as positive as ever. From the fantastic '10 Top Tips for New Fans' to the outstanding welcome on arrival and the exceptional pre-match experience in the marquee, it's clear that family engagement is deeply embedded in the culture at Rodney Parade."

"'Spytty the Dog' continues to be one the best mascots around too highlighting the fact that the club has the majority of pieces in place. Finding a way to elicit feedback from new fans and ensuring levels of engagement from club reps are as high inside as they are outside will help the club to strengthen its ability to secure the next generation of young supporters."

Newport County AFC are proud to have come 4th in the EFL League 2 Family Excellence with an EFL Overall position of 25th.

At a recent EFL Family Excellence Event our very own 'Spytty the Dog' was shortlisted to the final three for the EFL Mascot of the season.

The whole club are incredibly proud of this achievement and would like to thank all the staff, supporters and volunteers that have made this happen once again as well as the wonderful staff at Rodney Parade Ltd and all our partners, Newport City Radio, The Welsh Sweet Company and R&N Inflatables.
