Where is the Wham Stadium?

Accrington Stanley’s Wham Stadium can be found at:

Wham Stadium,

Livingstone Rd,

Accrington,

Where will Newport fans be during the game?

Fans can currently buy seating tickets for the Accrington game. These will be seated in the Studio.co.uk stand to the right-hand side of the terrace behind the goal.

How do I get to Accrington?

There are multiple ways to get to the Wham Stadium. The following are the best options:

Car

The distance from Rodney Parade to the Wham Stadium is approximately 203 miles. You will need to ensure you are on the road early for the game, with the journey taking around three and a half hours without factoring in potential stops and traffic.

Train

There is no direct train line between Newport and Accrington. The fastest route to Accrington involves changing trains twice, once at Crewe and once at Preston. The journey takes around five hours.

Coach

The easiest way to get to Accrington Stanley is by taking one of the supporter coaches

Can I park near the stadium?

Yes. There is parking available on the streets around the stadium, which is not resident-only. There is almost limited parking near the stadium entrance on Livingstone Road, which fans can access for a donation fee. However, this is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

How far is the train station to the Wham Stadium?

If you are travelling to the Wham Stadium by train, then the train station is approximately a 20-minute walk to the ground.

If you are travelling by bus from Accrington town centre, then you can take the Hyndburn Circular Bus, which runs from the central bus station and stops opposite The Crown Pub, which is the nearest stop to the stadium.

Where to eat and drink locally.

Accrington is a very friendly town with a great deal of local pubs and restaurants. Away fans are welcomed at the Coley's Bar, which is a home pub that overlooks the pitch. This is found in the HML Recycling Jack Barret Main Stand. The venue offers a good selection of food and drink.

Alternatively, The Oakely Fish & Chip Shop has been a popular destination for football fans over the years and can be found close to the stadium across from the Grey Horse pub.

Last time out.

The Wham Stadium has proved to be a good away day for Exiles over the years, with us picking up two wins and a draw in our last three visits there.

Our most recent encounter occurred in November 2017 and ended in a 1-1 draw. Frank Nouble grabbed a goal early in the second half, but an 88th-minute equaliser by Mallik Wilks pegged us back.
