This week is the #EFLWeekofAction and we’ve been showcasing a number of our provisions, where lives are being impacted across Newport and its wider areas.
We’ve had some really positive engagement from our Soccer Tots provision, where young people get a FUN introduction to football and physical activity – to the older generation where we’ve engaged over 55s in Walking Football and a quiz for our Extra Time Hub in partnership with Melin Homes.
Along the way, we’ve managed to provide tickets to this weekend’s huge Newport County AFC home match vs Wimbledon.
A huge positive of the week has been the engagement of females, providing specific sessions designed to engage and inspire them to lead a physically active life.
Last but not least, our Education Programme had a great Open Evening, giving information to potential students for September and informing them and their parents around the opportunities they can be exposed to.
It’s been a cold week but what a great one, we look forward to continuing our impact across the coming months leading in the summer!
