County make the relatively short trip to Walsall on Saturday hoping to keep up the good run of form that has seen us pick up seven points from a possible nine in our last three games.
Back-to-back wins against Swindon and Barrow was followed up by Tuesday night's impressive 2-2 draw against 2nd-placed Stevenage.
Walsall meanwhile are winless in five, but it can also be looked at as a three-match unbeaten run with the Saddlers coming into this game off the back of three successive draws at Northampton (0-0), at home against Leyton Orient (1-1) and away to Colchester (0-0).
County have no new injury concerns, although Declan Drysdale will remain unavailable while Walsall will have Joe Riley back involved and Liam Kinsella is also back in contention.
Walsall did boast one of the league's finest goalscorers this season, but 12-goal Danny Johnson is now back at Mansfield are being recalled from his loan by the Stags. Former Exile Jamille Matt is yet to score for the Saddlers since joining from Forest Green in January.
Newport meanwhile will be bouyed by top scorer Omar Bogle being back in the goals thanks to a brace in midweek to get him back in form and into double figures with 11 goals in all competitions.
County also have a good recent record at Walsall, with the Exiles unbeaten in their three trips to the Banks' Stadium since re-entering the Football League in 2013, picking up five points from a possible nine.
