Academy graduate Lewis Collins has today completed a temporary switch to National League outfit Torquay United.
The forward will spend the rest of the season at Plainmoor in a bid to get regular, first-team football under his belt.
After coming through County’s youth ranks, Lewis signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2019. He scored his first goal for the club that season in the EFL Trophy Group Stage match against West Ham United’s Under-23s.
Lewis would go on to score a crucial goal in the first leg of the 2021 League Two Play-Off Semi Final against Forest Green Rovers which led to him starting the subsequent Wembley final in which he played 86 minutes.
The Wales Under-17, 19 and 21 international also found the back of the net at home to Sutton United last season but has found regular, first-team football hard to come by of late.
Good luck at Torquay, Lewis!
