Newport County AFC host Northampton Town on Good Friday at Rodney Parade… Here is what to expect from the game.
On Friday 7th April Newport County AFC host play-off contenders Northampton Town in SkyBet League Two. Northampton Town who are currently second in the League Two Table with 70 points and are looking to push on from their good run of from, after drawing to another play-off pushing team in Stevenage last week. Northampton Town have picked up 14 points from a possible 18 in their last 6 aiming to pull away from third place Stevenage.
Newport County AFC are also looking to push on the points after being unbeaten in the last 5 fixtures, picking up a convincing 3-1 win over Tranmere Rovers in those 5.
Looking towards the fixture, County Manager Graham Coughlan said in his pre match press conference “I looked at them (Northampton) two weeks ago against Doncaster and I was really impressed with them, they’ve got goals all round, they were efficient, they do their jobs well. They’re managed really well by Jon Brady and Colin Calderwood, two really good guys and they work their socks off.” “I’m really looking froward to it.” He added.
