WELLBEING WEDNESDAY: September 28

As usual on a Wednesday, we are on hand to provide you with some mental wellbeing tips for the next seven days.

Wednesday 28th

The 26th September to 2nd October is National Inclusion Week, which focuses on how workplaces can be more inclusive environments.

If you haven’t already, please do speak to your education provider or employer to discuss any reasonable adjustments that can be made to support you.

Thursday 29th

Try doing something creative. It is often said that being creative helps to relax your mind. This could be anything from creating a piece of art, playing a musical instrument, acting, writing poetry or baking. Please don’t worry about the end result, just focus on enjoying what you are doing

Friday 30th

If you are struggling to sleep, then you could try to adjust your sleeping environment. For example, sleeping with a low light on, removing your mobile phone or TV from the room, changing your bedding to make it softer or adjusting the temperature in your room.

Saturday 1st

Sunday 2nd

If you are feeling overwhelmed, then try to take a break and remove yourself from the situation for five minutes. A change of scenery would help you to relax and reduce any anxiety.

Monday 3rd

Give yourself a tech free time, especially if it is making you feel more busy or stressed. Don’t be afraid to turn your phone off, or leave it in another room
