County will be looking to make it two wins out of two in this year's EFL Trophy when we welcome Forest Green Rovers to Rodney Parade tonight.
We got our 2022-23 EFL Trophy campaign off to a winning start with a 2-1 triumph at League One Exeter City thanks to goals from strike pair Omar Bogle and Chanka Zimba.
FGR also got off to winning ways in their opener however, with a 3-1 home win over Southampton's Under-23 side.
Rovers are struggling to adapt to life in League One, as they currently find themselves in a relegation spot in 22nd and are winless in two and haven't won away from home since the opening-day 2-1 scoreline at fellow newly-promoted Bristol Rovers.
County are in need of a boost too though after three-straight league defeats, but will see the EFL Trophy as a potential springboard to improve our fortunes in the league.
We are currently in the middle of a three-game streak of home games following Saturday's game at home to Barrow, tonight and then we host Carlisle United on Saturday.
Kick-off for tonight's game is at 19:45.
