Stockport game to be County's Remembrance Fixture

Tomorrow afternoon’s match against Stockport County will be our annual game to mark Remembrance Weekend.

To respect the occasion, the kits worn by the players will be donned with Poppies and wreaths will be laid by County chairman Gavin Foxall, Stockport County’s Club President Steve Bellis and the Royal British Legion.

Ahead of kick-off, a Bugler will play The Last Post once the two teams have emerged from the tunnel which will be followed by a minute silence.

The Royal British Legion and Newport Veterans Hub will be in the Marquee and, in addition, Newport County-style poppy badges will be on sale at the Rodney Parade store from 10am.
