The EFL have this afternoon confirmed that the draw for the first knockout round of the EFL Trophy will take place this Friday.
The draw will be conducted live on Sky Sports following the conclusion of Birmingham vs Sunderland on Friday night.
County progressed from our EFL Trophy group as runners up behind Forest Green Rovers, after securing wins against Exeter City and Southampton U21s.
Newport can be paired with any of the group winners from the Southern section apart from Forest Green, which are: Colchester United, AFC Wimbledon, MK Dons, Stevenage, Plymouth, Chelsea U21s or Ipswich Town.
Ties will be played the week commencing November 21.
