Junior Trust members were given a half-term treat when they had the opportunity to watch the first team prepare for Saturday’s FA Cup fixture against Colchester United.
Following watching the team train, where gasps and cheers resounded around the stand when goals were scored, Clwb Spytty and TeenExiles members and their families had the chance to get the autographs of their heroes and brought posters, balls, shirts and other items as well as getting the chance to get photos and conversations with the players and management.
The Newport County AFC Supporters’ Trust arranged session was held at Newport Stadium, Spytty. It is important that the Club and the Trust interact and make the young supporters feel part of the club and the community we represent. Some of the children certainly won’t forget meeting the players and it is the little things like these that the Club and the Trust continue to do to keep getting the new generation of fans interested in Newport County AFC.
