This week is Volunteers Week, and we know that volunteering can give you an enormous sense of wellbeing, and help you to create friendships in an environment that you are all passionate about.
Our volunteers are incredible and we are so grateful for you all! For more information about volunteering opportunities next season, please contact joec@ncafctrust.org
Thursday 2nd June - Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.
Friday 3rd June - Stand in a safe place take some deep relaxing breaths. Acknowledge 5 things that you can see around you, 4 things you can touch around you, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell and 1 thing that you can taste. This is a great grounding technique when struggling with anxiety.
Saturday 4th June - Face yourself in the mirror and tell yourself at least one thing that you like and value about yourself
Sunday 5th June - Take the opportunity to get out in the fresh air and go for a bike ride or a walk in the countryside
Monday 6th June - Ahead of the new season starting, check out the NSPCC Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport online training session. It will only take approximately 10 minutes to complete and is free of charge. https://thecpsu.org.uk/parents/keeping-your-child-safe-in-sport/
Tuesday 7th June - Carers Week is an annual awareness campaign to recognise and celebrate the vital contribution made by the UK's 6.5 million carers. Caring can be a constant juggling act, often without a moments rest and many carers can feel isolated. Reach out to a friend who you know is a carer to take time to listen to them, so they know that they are also fully supported.
