Newport County AFC are delighted to announce the signing of Offrande Zanzala from Barrow AFC on a permanent contract.
Offrande, who earned promotion from League Two with Exeter City last season, becomes the club’s sixth summer signing ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
While progressing through the ranks at Derby County, the 24-year-old striker enjoyed loan spells at Stevenage, Chester and Accrington Stanley before joining Stanley on a permanent contract in the summer of 2018.
After two-and-a-half seasons with Accrington in League One, he moved on to Crewe before time at Carlisle and Barrow.
Last season, Offrande joined Exeter on loan in January and helped the Grecians to 2nd in the League Two table to earn promotion to League One.
On the arrival of Offrande, County manager James Rowberry said: “I’m really pleased to welcome Offrande to our club. I’ve been speaking to him for the past week or two and I’m excited on how he can help the team and how we can develop him.
“We’ve fought off some really strong competition for his signature and I would like to thank Darren (Kelly, Sporting Director), Gavin (Foxall, chairman), and the board for their support in making Offrande a Newport County AFC player.
“I’m sure you’ll give him a warm welcome when you meet him!”
Welcome to Newport, Offrande!
