Newport County AFC are delighted to announce the arrival of Adam Lewis, who joins the club on a loan deal from Liverpool.
The 22-year-old left-back made his first-team debut for the Reds in an FA Cup tie against Shrewsbury in February 2020, with Adam playing the full 90 minutes in a 1-0 Liverpool win.
In the summer of 2020, Adam signed on loan at Ligue 2 outfit Amiens before returning to England and joining League One Plymouth, also on loan, in January 2021 where he made 20 appearances and scored once, in a 2-1 win at Sunderland.
Last season, he spent the entirety of the campaign on loan at Livingston and helped the club to 7th in the Scottish Premiership.
Adam has also earned himself international recognition with caps for England at Under-16, 17, 19 and 20 level, making 16 appearances across the age groups, including three games at the Under-19 Euros in 2018.
On the arrival of Adam, County manager James Rowberry said: “I’m delighted to welcome Adam to the club and I’m excited to see how his qualities will improve us as a team.
“I have no doubt that his experience at higher levels, as well as his international pedigree, will be a huge help to our processes to take the club forward.
“I know our supporters will give Adam a very warm welcome when they get the chance to see him!”
Welcome to Newport, Adam!
