As is tradition on a Wednesday at Newport County AFC, here are this week's wellbeing tips for the week on #WellbeingWednesday!
Wednesday 17th August – When you are feeling stressed, lots of things may feel like you are not in control. To help, draw two circles, one large one, and one smaller one inside the large one. In the smaller circle, write all the things that you can control. In the outer circle, write all the things that you worry about, but you can’t control.
Now think about one area at a time that you can control, from within the smaller circle, and work out a strategy to help you regain that control. Don’t forget to ask for help and support where needed.
Thursday 18th August – Reach out to someone who may be feeling lonely. This could be someone who has recently moved house to a new area, someone who is recently retired, divorced or become a new parent. These big milestones in life can sometimes be the most isolating.
Friday 19th August – It’s World Photo Day! Share and tag us in your favourite photo of yourselves enjoying a @NewportCountyAFC game
Saturday 20th August – It’s match day! Come and support James and the team on Parade today as we face Tranmere Rovers. Lots to enjoy in the family marquee prior to the event, with the Rodney Parade fan zone, County in the Community Corner, Newport City Radio, The Welsh Sweet Co, R&N Inflatables and our charity of the day – Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Let’s behind the boys and make some noise!
Sunday 21st August – Have a good sort out through your things and consider if there is anything that you could donate to charity or upcycle and use again. Recycling and donating to charity are kind acts that could give you a sense of satisfaction.
Monday 22nd August – Make a note of the three key positive values that you will live by this week, and what you would need to do to live by these values that you have set for yourself.
Tuesday 23rd August – It’s match day. Join us on Parade to cheer on the team as we take on Portsmouth in the 2nd round of the Carabao Cup. Don’t worry if you are coming along alone – you are amongst friends that you have just not met yet!
Have a great week Exiles!
