Local band Tinty and the Bucket Hats are due to perform in the Marquee ahead of kick-off on Friday.
Tinty and the Bucket Hats are a ska punk band whose aim is to beat bullying in Newport.
They are fundraising to give every child in schools and youth centres across Newport anti-bullying targeted workshops provided by Kidscape by 2023.
Supporter John Morgan and his band mates have been working with Newport County AFC and Kidscape to achieve this by creating two songs, fundraising merchandise, business donations and local support.
You will be able to see Tinty and the Bucket Hats first gig in the Rodney Parade Family Marquee at approximately 1:30pm prior to Friday's game against Crawley, where they will be using their stage time to drum up donations for Kidscape as well as playing their two singles (amongst others) that are being released on Spotify on the 13th April to highlight their cause.
The team from Kidscape will also be on hand with fun family activities and advice.
Kidscape works directly with children and families experiencing bullying, across the UK. They provide workshops for children and their families, teaching confidence and assertiveness skills to tackle a bullying situation.
Kidscape provide practical support and telephone advice to parents and carers worried about bullying situations, they also train professionals in how to challenge and prevent bullying in schools. For more information please visit www.kidscape.org.uk
